Measure D: Fire Safety and Savings

Measure D on the June 5th Ballot would confirm the decision to annex our Fire Department to Southern Marin Fire Protection District (SMFPD). Annexation has already been supported by votes of our City Council, SMFPD and LAFCO, and Measure D is supported by every Mayor that has served for the past 17 years, by local fire fighters, State Senator Mark Leno, Assemblyman Jared Huffman and Assemblyman Michael Allen.

Measure D maintains the same fire protection services and emergency and paramedic services we’ve enjoyed over the last seven years.

Measure D also maintains the long-term financial viability of the City, avoiding a costly $1,400,000 price tag for a free standing fire department.
